Mothers mourn,
Oldsters languish...
Man kills woman,
Girl kills boy,
Stranger kills stranger,
Mother kills Child,
Child kills sibling,
Beauty is dead!
Snails hide in their shells,
Lions feed on plants,
Antelopes feed on lions,
Kangaroos crawl...
Sun grows dark,
Moon stops shining,
Stars disappear...
Love goes unnoticed,
Goodness goes uncherished,
Hatred rules the world,
Beauty is dead...
Let the earth rotate backwards,
Let the wind blow downwards,
Let the soil vomit seeds,
Let the ground deny sand
Beauty is dead...
Let the nights grow bitter,
Let the days grow fiery,
Let righteousness grow weary,
Let integrity grow faint,
Let the world grow old,
Beauty is dead...
Let Christian deny Christ,
Let Muslim deny Mohammed,
Let Atheist deny emptiness...
Let the tree reject its roots,
Let the stem reject its branch,
Let the branch reject leaves,
Let the leaves reject their veins,

let the soul be dark,
